The second session of the Thirteenth National Parliament (Budget Session-2026) is set to resume today, Tuesday (July 7), at 3 PM, following a six-day continuous break. The proceedings of this session, which will take place at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban (National Parliament House), will commence with the recitation of the Holy Quran.

Previously, the session was adjourned on June 30 after the passage of the national budget for the fiscal year 2026-27. With the recess now over, regular parliamentary activities are set to recommence today.

During the ongoing session, the national budget for the new fiscal year has already received approval. Concurrently, the Finance Bill and several other crucial budget-related bills have also been passed in Parliament.

It is noteworthy that following the budget’s presentation on June 11, both government and opposition Members of Parliament engaged in extensive discussions on various aspects of the budget. During this period, they addressed several critical national issues in Parliament, including the economy, inflation, employment, elections, and law and order.
